Project Overview
Armstrong Scaffolding supplied scaffolding for a new build timber-frame project in Orpington, providing perimeter access as construction progressed. The scaffold supported work across the upper levels of the build, including access around the developing roofline.
The Build Stage
At this stage of the project, the timber frame and outer structure were taking shape quickly, so the scaffold needed to keep pace with the build. On new-build sites like this, the access setup has to keep pace with the structure as it rises, providing trades with the space and support they need to continue safely at height.
Scaffold Arrangement
We installed scaffolding around the new build to follow the property's footprint and form as it developed. This created usable safe access along the elevations and across the higher sections of the build, allowing work to continue across multiple areas without relying on a limited or overcomplicated setup.
Supporting the Programme
This project is a good example of how scaffolding plays a practical role in keeping a new build organised. With the right access in place at the right stage, the site team could continue working across the structure as the timber frame build moved forward in Orpington.
Outcome
The completed perimeter scaffold gave the contractor reliable, safe access throughout the timber-frame build programme, supporting trades at height as the structure and roofline took shape. Armstrong Scaffolding provides dependable scaffolding for new build developments across Orpington, Kent, London and the South East, including timber frame construction and phased building programmes.
