Project Overview
Armstrong Scaffolding installed a temporary roof and hoist tower at a large residential property in Keston Park, Orpington. The setup was designed to support roof-level works by creating a covered working area above the property while also improving vertical access for materials and operatives.
What the Site Needed
This project required more than a standard scaffold. With works taking place at roof level, the site needed reliable weather protection to keep the job moving, along with a safe, practical way to move materials up to the working area.
For a property of this size, combining a temporary roof with a hoist tower created a far more effective setup than access scaffolding alone.
What We Installed
We erected a full temporary roof scaffold spanning the top of the property, creating sheltered conditions for the works below. Alongside this, we installed a hoist tower to support the safe lifting of materials between ground level and the upper scaffold lifts.
Together, these elements formed a coordinated scaffold solution that supported both access and material handling on the project.
Why This Project Stands Out
The scale of the property meant a single solution had to deliver both weather protection and dependable vertical material handling. Pairing a fully encapsulated temporary roof with a dedicated hoist tower on one residential site shows the kind of coordinated scaffold engineering Armstrong Scaffolding provides for higher-end refurbishment works.
Outcome
The completed temporary roof and hoist tower gave the contractor a sheltered, safe and efficient working environment for roof-level works at a substantial residential property. Armstrong Scaffolding provides temporary roofs, hoist towers, and tailored scaffold solutions for residential and commercial projects across Orpington, Kent, London and the South East.
